Help me decide which race to play, reasons must be provided. No nightelves, saying so is a waste of time, and will end violently.

Humans.

They have a good mixture between land and air superiority, with some powerful units. Footmen with defend are very good anti-archer units, while gyrocopters are VERY powerful anti-air.

Not just Archers, most ranged units do peircing damage, and thats what defend works against. It just screws NEs over more than anyone Gyrocopters with bombs are also good seige weaponry.

Orcs.

They have unmatched ground combat, with the exception of undead skeleton users (And then you just beat the necromancers silly). AND their catapults rock!

They're slow though, and their air is poor.

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

Undead.
Regular units:

Ghouls are quick melee units and get an attack speed upgrade later on (much like zergs from StarCraft).

Acolytes summon buildings and you can summon muliple buildings at the same time with ONE acolyte (but they can only harvest gold). Also acolytes can be sacrificed and turned into shades for the perfect invisible scout.

You can make Crypt Fiends which are partly anti air and good ranged ground units.

Gargoyles are the undead's anti air unit, and as far as I know the only air unit that melees other air units. (They are also very cheap.)

Necromancers can summon mass skeletons as you kill your opponents, and can sometimes double your army.

Banshees can posess your opponent's units.

And finally Abominations which has a disease cloud aura that does damage to all nearby enemy units and they have high hp and attack power as well.

For heroes, I would go with Dreadlord, for 3 awesome abilities.
#1. Sleep, it can take an enemy unit out for a little while or roots it in it's place.
#2. Vampiric Aura, it makes your units slowly regenerate hp for every successful attack.
#3. Inferno, summons a big, green, fiery golem (like the one in the start up movie) that stuns and does damage when it lands, has an aura that does damage to all nearby enemy units, and has high hp and does good damage.

Actually, Delphi, Hippogryphs from the Night elves meele other air units, as long as you don't dump an archer on top of 'em.

The undead also have the Frost Wyrm. While only one or two is practical, their frost breath is perfect for taking out defensive structures and unit-producing buildings.

I play an undead being in any game that doesn't have martial arts. If there's no undead, I just choose the ugliest looking thing.
