Me: Hi Ma'am! Can I see your membership card?

Lady: Actually, it's my mom's card...

Me: Oh? Well I can-

(let you slide was what I was going to say, but she cut me off with...)

Lady: I have my mom's driver's liscense...

Me: Errr....

Lady: And my mom's check book... I want to write a check in my mom's name

Me: Ma'am if I let you do that not only will I be fired but I could be prosecuted as an accomplice to identity fraud...

Lady: BUT IT'S JUST MY MOM!!

Me: She must be very proud...

Sometimes, I want to move to Idaho because you live in my state. Then, I remember Oregon would be a much better place to be than IDAHO!

One of the lines we take is for Shoe Carnival, a shoe store. We're a national store locator service for them. Because of how our system is arranged, we look up the closest store to them by zip code.

I got this gem today.

Me - "We're having a fun-filled day here at Shoe Carnival! This is Candace. How can I help you?"

Moron - "I need the number of the store in Ft Wayne, IN"

Me - "Okay ma'am, what is the zip code there?"

Moron - "Oh, I don't know the zip code."

Me - "Are you close to Ft Wayne?"

Moron - "Yes."

Me - "What's your zip code?"

Moron - "Oh, they changed them recently. I think one's 207 and one's 219, I'm not really sure which one. Try 219."

Me - "What's your zip code?"

Moron - "219"

Me - "No ma'am, your zip code."

Moron - "219"

Me - "No your zip code. Postal code."

Moron - "Oh! Mailing! 46565(or something, I don't remember)"

*shakes her head*

It was promising, too. She actually sounded like she had half a brain when I first answered. Guess I shouldn't have that much faith in people.
