*deep breath* My friends trying to get me into Fallout, so I will be somewhat ready for a game of FOT at our LAN saturday. I know I'm still going to get my head haneded to me... Anyways, any tips would be helpful. Thanks.
Oh, and I'm wandering around the Hub right now, so I'm not that far into the game...
the chip is in the vault in the Ghoul city which i can't remember the name of at the moment. you can either go through guns blazing or you can do quests and shit.

the sniper rifle is the 3rd best weapon in the original Fallout
Turbo Plasma Rifle > Plasma Rifle > Sniper Rifle > All Contenders
with a decently high small arms all you need to do is targeted shots to the head like you SHOULD be doing at this point in the game and the gib just flies.

I'm fairly sure it's called the Gatling Gun. The miniguns are a different weapon.
I'd host a picture and say you were pwned but I don't have a way to host pictures, and have a 56k 
Lemme look round a bit and see if I can still say you're pwned.
i on the other hand, pop out my Turbo Plasma Rifle, target the eyes, click, and am ready to serve some melted mutie slag.
doing crits of upward of 1000 damage is nice.
one shot, 300+ damage, one kill, one cell used.
