Okay....Maybe all you high tech computer people can help me out? I tried to load EQ this morning, and it worked fine. I just tried to log on now - about 2 hours later - and the EQ program is going unresponsive when I click the "Connect" button at the screen where you enter in your password and login name. WHY???? I tried restarting the computer twice already, and it's still doing the same thing. *whine* Help?

Make sure your internet connection is okiedokie before ya log in. Line noise or static can make dialups horrid.

Reason enough to get DSL.

DSL pwns cable. I dont share my connection with any other nutjobs, I just get the same bandwith 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

That, and its easier to shove something into a phone line, then shove something from that into your computer, instead of having to screw in a coaxial cable..

I get around 1.2 mb/s bandwidth on my DSL line. It is only rated for 768 kb/s.

My cable modem scores 2.4mbps... I don't think you fruity DSL users will come close to that, ever

How do you score that on a 1.5mb line? Or do you have something larger then a T-1 for your cable?

Cable in my area sucks, sharing a T-1 with other folks is just way slow =/

DSL's the way to go because you don't end up getting penalized when the dickhead nextdoor decides he wants to use his computer as a Kazaa server.
