If you hadn't heard, the print strategy guide for FFXI ships today. Admittedly the information in it will become outdated as they make more changes to the online environment, but it'll still be useful...

For what it's worth, the beastmen had a higher faction in South Gustaberg last night (the region outside of Bastok). So this isn't just a Windhurst thing...it's a newbie thing.I'm sticking with Windhu...

As has been suggested elsewhere, it's easy enough to make an alternate character in Bastok, and then use that lovely delivery function. Hence Matvey ships money to his 'sister' in Bastok, who buys him...

Well...have picked up a few things.1) Don't trust it when they say 'even match'. That means even match for a warrior or monk. Anything else and you may or may not get toasted. I've had even matches go...

The PS2 has two USB ports on the front...it's not too difficult to plug in a keyboard and mouse if you want....

Hmmm...I suspect the choice between PS2 and PC has more to do with the user's setup. My computer barely eeks by for FFXI Windows...and the cost of upgrading it is a lot more than I'd want to spend for...
