The intelligence of our presidents has never been seriously scrutinized at any time in our history until now. There is a widespread perception that President G. W. Bush is not qualified for the position he holds. That increasing awareness by the people has led to a study of the intellectual ability of all presidents for the past fifty years. There have been twelve presidents in that time, from F. D. Roosevelt to G. W.
Bush.
All were rated based on scholarly achievements, writings that they alone wrote, their ability to speak effectively, and a number of psychological factors. The conclusions of the study, conducted by an independent think tank located in Scranton, Pennsylvania were surprising. This think tank
includes high caliber historians, psychiatrists, sociologists, scientists in human behavior, and psychologists.
Among their ranks are Dr. Werner Levenstein, world-renowned sociologist, and Professor Patricia A. Williams, a world-respected psychiatrist. All members of the think tank are experts at being able to detect a person's IQ from the criteria stated earlier. After four months of research,
these learned men and women have determined the IQs of each president within a range of five percentage points. The IQs listed below are the norms for each president.
147 Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 Harry Truman (D)
122 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
174 John F. Kennedy (D)
126 Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
155 Richard M. Nixon (R)
121 Gerald Ford (R)
175 James E. Carter (D)
105 Ronald Reagan (R)
099 George HW Bush (R)
182 William J. Clinton (D)
091 George W. Bush (R)
The non-partisan researchers who evaluated the twelve presidents determined that the six Republican presidents for the past 50 years had an average IQ of 115.5, with President Nixon having the highest IQ, at
155. President G. W. Bush was rated the lowest of all the Republicans with an IQ of 91. The six Democrat presidents had IQs with an average of 156, with President Clinton having the highest IQ, at 182. President Lyndon B. Johnson was rated the lowest of all the Democrats with an IQ of 126. The
margin of error is plus or minus five percent. This study was initiated on February 13, 2001 and completed on June 17, 2001.
This study validated the widespread feeling of people about the sitting president. President Bush was rated low because of his inability to command the English language, his lack of any scholarly achievements,
and an absence of anything authored by him that would reflect an intellectual effort.

bull, pure bull, his IQ is like...10, or he wouldn't have banged Monica, smart people usually have enough sense not to cheat on their spouse and LIE about it to the american people on tv...oO; sorry about the babbling on
-ness about this guy...
There is no way this can be right. The simple fact that most of these people rate genius+ is total bullshit. I'm not saying they weren't intelligent, but there is no way we could have elected that many genuis+ people over the past 50-something years.
Of course considering that, statistically speaking, the smarter a person is, the more amused they are by dumb things (Einstein was supposadly amused with anything that spun) I could see Clinton being at a 182 considering that he was amused by that cheap slut Monica.....
Grow a vocabulary.
Have a point. Since when is "But everyone else is doing it?" a good excuse for anything?
You may be surprised to learn that reasonable, intelligent people can disagree on a number of important issues. When you grow up, perhaps you can be one of them.

Anyways, that's just my opinion.
I may be wrong.
I think we're agreed on the lying = bad thing.
As for adultery being no big deal, I still have to disagree, especially when speaking of those in whom we invest great power and place great trust. The mere act itself may be inconsequential, but we must look beyond that to what it says about the person's character. The President is not merely placed in office to administer the nation's affairs; he swears an oath to uphold the Constitution, among other things. Given his demonstrated inability to keep other sacred oaths, one is not out of line to wonder what other oaths are likely to be broken, and powers abused. It is no light thing to be President of the United States--and it should be a solemn duty rather than simply a bigger opportunity to demonstrate one's megalomania.
You may think adultery is no big deal. I happen to think oathbreaking is very, very serious indeed.
And that's not even addressing the absolute personal cowardice that tempts someone to cover up something like that, and to run a smear campaign to discredit everyone involved.
There are usually several ways of looking at things.

Does that mean they can't do their job? Not a chance in hell.
It means they had sex with someone. That's the extent of it. Compared to the job, managing a country and the millions of people in it, getting a blowjob isn't really that important. It helps, it relaxes, but it's not that big a deal.
Amazing. And well thought-out, too.

...screw this, I'm outta this thread

Clinton was an asskissing dumbfuck. You suck up to the right people and you can do anything. Look at M$. They made TONS of fucking cash by dealing with the IDIOTS. Make the idiots think you have what they want and they will let you do anything you want to. Same thing. Clinton pissed off the SS and the SS didn't do the same job that they did for the previous presidents. Another thing to consider is this is the FIRST time the American population is hearing about this crap. Do you think that most americans are aware that every president since the beginning has had a problem with either booze or women and more times than not, BOTH? No. They think these were honest, upstanding men who did what they had to do to make this country what it is today. BAH.
So die plz k thx. That has nothing to do as how he conducted himself as a polition.

Bullshit. Some lying is expected from a politician.... Lies on this caliber shouldn't be expected. And yes, given this man's position, I think Americans would have a right to know that the person 'they chose' (bullshit in itself IMHO) is not the person they thought. And if he WAS the man they thought, then I need to get deported because I have no desire to be judged by THAT kind of standard.
I'd rather not have a manwhore or a pathological liar as my figurehead and representative.
Maybe Bush ain't the greatest public speaker, but he has a harvard degree in business, which is more than Gore had.
Also the fact that he had to lie at all. I would have had much more respect for him if he'd just owned up to it. The fact he had to lie makes me wonder what else he is willing to lie about, and has lied about. It casts doubt on his character, and that's the last thing you want casted doubt on in a leader.

*LATER*
My fellow Americans, I deeply regret my past wrong doings....
I know there was no chance in hell he was going to win, but I think he would have made a better president than Bush.
Hopefully we'll see Nader, or the Green party at least, in the next election. And hopefully they'll have more of a chance.
On the topic of Clinton, I think it's unfair to say since he lied about an embarrasing and personnal matter that he would lie to us about a matter pertaining to the country. Since he's not in office anymore I'd say the arguement is mute anyway.
BTW even though I strongly dislike George W., I don't really think it's fair to judge his (anyones) IQ with the evidence they used.
*That* is what bothered me the most. I don't agree with adultery, but I'm not going to judge a person's leadership abilities on their personal life, if they're honest about it. It's when they start covering it up and lying that I start to wonder what else they're being less than truthful about.

To be honest I doubt the average American will remember him for anything besides the Monica incident. That's unfortunate because he did do good things for this country.

and JFK is smarter cause at least he aimed high Marylin Monroe > Monica Lewinsky
