My old character in full battlegear
Daggerfall r0xx0rz j00!
Hell I think I spent more time coordinating my outfits than I did playing the game.

A) Run backwards while swinging to defeat an infinite numbre of guards
B) Make a char with magic absorption and cast an AoE at your feet infinately to kill an infinte number of gards
C) Loiter in a shop till nightfall, rip it off for everything it has and sell it back to the guy in the morning
D) Levitating houses onto other houses... there is something WRONG about stacking a town vertically

Leopold is going to kill you if he sees this.
You'd be wise to start running. Like... now.
I am going to choose not to get involved in this thread for fear of having to kill people.
-Carl, containing himself.
I kept getting stuck in a wall. I got mad and quit.

You seem to miss a crucial point... they weren't random. It chose one of 4 layouts, and whatever item/monster you needed to find/kill was at one of 5 points within the dungeon.
It got to the point where I would just run a certain path through each dungeon, checking each spot till I found the correct one
Well... least the waterlevel was random, but not in a good way...
"Oh gee, looks like 1/3 of the dungeon is submerged, if you can't breathe water you are screwed"
Maybe that and all spellcasting NPCs had a set amount of mana tey expended in the first quarter second upon seeing, and if you survive then you pound them into the ground...

Morrowwind is the sequel to Daggerfall. Daggerfall was part two of The Elder Scrolls, Battlespire was part one of the Elder Scrolls Adventure, and Redguard was part one of Elder Scrolls Legends. Fortunately Redguard and Battlespire sucked so badly they discontinued work on any of those sequels. More time to work on ES3
10. The first game of it's kind to feature full nudity (male and female), in the inventory screen and in-game, and get away with it.
9. The game never ends. You can complete the main storyline, but you'll still be able to play the game afterwards.
8. Being able to ignore the main storyline altogether
7. The Real Barenziah, Part III by Anonymous
6. The only game where you can literally spend hours in the clothing store just trying to find that right combination of clothing. ^_^
5. Addons and various other stuff at The Essential Site

1: Did I mention The Real Barenziah, Part III?
And The Real Barenziah was kinda disturbing...I mean...BARBS?
-Carl.
Well... I wouldn't call this game non-linear in a GOOD way... it is fully possible to play this game for years and still not know what the hell the plot is about
-Carl, who in fact has owned this game since it came out and has yet to really start the quest.
