He doesn't know me. He is lumping me in with some ideal that he has. He doesn't know what I do for people. He has no clue. He attacks my personal life, my guild, me, and you are saying that I am being overly defensive?

I DO have respect for those who do, though, showing dedication to, what to me, is just something to play when I'm pissed and need to beat up things physically bigger than me. I don't resent people who'd get the stuff that I'll prolly just drool over, go places I'll only see screenshots of (plane of mischief = funky)... just shows dedication to the whole thing. It IS like a job, some people think this foolish, me... just shows their loyalty to their guild and to the people they call friend, pretty much.

While I dont disrespect triton as human beings, they seem to be a group of elitist snobs, who are more concerned with total slaughterhouse power upon mobs, than having fun in the game, and that I base such opinion on the fact that they will not consider a person for membership unless they have certain things aquired, and are a cetain level, regardless of circumstances, or relation to other members of the guild.
Or maybe I coulda done a little dance, and pissed on a printed copy of Triton's homepage. I think either of these statements would have drawn the some reaction from Triton's resident Paladin on these boards.. Since she went into blind rage mode, rather than reading what I meant by what I typed.
And while yer at it.. why not give me a post over on Safehouse as well, since you drug the topic here, and most likely to Triton's boards as well?

How the hell can you determine what they are concerned with? You aren't even a member, you can't judge such things at all. As 'Nae pointed out, they DO have fun. This is their way of having fun. If they won't let you in their sandbox, find another sandbox to play in.

In real life, I'm a young member of an uberguild. I had to swear an oath of allegiance, sign nondisclosure forms, and agree that anything I really screw up at work is worth felony charges. I'm not allowed to discuss what I'm doing with my coworkers, or let them know what other parts of the service are like.
In exchange, I am part of one of the least supervised, most powerful goverment organizations in the country: the IRS.
I can't get into the Secret Service, which is really too bad. But they have requirements I'm not willing to put the effort in to meet.
