Well, I got one with +6 life, but much lower level requirements.

You've got to wonder why they would even bother putting items like that into the game.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

We are all fogetting the single worst item in Diablo 2...

Cap of Simplicity

Yes, not only does that 2ac cap with no requirements now have 40% less of them... it now has a required level of 16

Least that gem does SOMETHING

I suppose it's along the same lines as constricting ring having a Clvl requirement of 96

If Verant adds this to EQ, we're all in BIG trouble!

You know, they do have an item that if it's equipped by someone at level four or below they instantly die

I can't remember which one though..

Grab a couple of ulthork hide tunics and head over to Rivervale. Hand them to newbie druids. Proceed to roll around on the floor as the newbie is knocked to the ground, unconcious, unable to move, take off the tunic, anything. (Because Ulthork Hide Tunic's minus HP a bit. And since druids don't have much HP to start out with...)

Personal fav..... Handing Mod Rods to n00bs. Tell them to right click it before a fight and it will make them stronger.

Blizzard didn't "add" these items to the game.

All items in Diablo 2 are generated randomly within certain bounds. For instance, a certain gem may have the potential to have +life, +replenish life, and +barbarian skills on it. The exact numbers are generated randomly, but the chances that you'll roll a 0 for barbarian skills will be better than your chances of rolling a 0 on +life.

Well, some jewels can be very nice items. I'd like to receive something like this, especially considering the abundance of gems in the expansion pack. Whack that baby into the horadric cube along with 3 perfect jems (keep your skulls out of it) and you've got a new jewel. It will also come in pretty useful in creating crafted items (in the cube again), most of which require 2 specific runes, 1 jewel, and 1 specific item.

In short, it's good cube fodder.
