Introductory short story I wrote today, inspired by my character from The Opera...I don't know if I'm satisfied with it or not. Feel free to stroke my ego (or beat it within an inch of its life, whatever works).

Kinda cliché. Beyond that, seems okay.

I liked it, good premise. I think some of the characters, (for instance, Mr Rothschild or especially Cyrano) could use some more description both physically and mentally, I had some trouble picturing the events. Also, stretch out the work some more with dialog and description, Rothschild talking to guards or having more internal conversation, and describe the eviroment and events much more. A lot happened in that encounter, I think several pages could describe it much better than several paragraphs.

Of course, I'm being a little hipocritical with this commentary, the writing is already better by far than I can do, but I've never been very good writing fiction.
