What I think it does: Magnaram compresses your RAM so you have more. Nice, right? Bad part is, your VIDEO CARD no longer uses it's texture memory so you use your swap file more than ever!
I couldn't even look at a moss snake without the frame rate going down to about 1 frame every 2 seconds... Needless to say, I was PKed over and over and over again...

The only thing that I know of that will help are video and cache tweaks.
It's awful. Plain out awful. The compatibility errors were worse than Win2k!
It didn't work in Johnny Mnemonic, it won't work in your PC!
There was an ad in the sunday paper for a 256ram chip that was selling for $60!!!
So ya, just buy some extra ram, make your computer happy 
RAM doublers/compressers further become a moot point when you realize that unless you have a blazing fast processor, by the time the data is compressed it could already be in and out of the RAM and processed already.
