The tragedy is that they can be SO DAMN GOOD, but networks just seem to overlook them.
First episode I saw was 'Jerk' - I was hooked instantly.

Well, the lowest common denominator hates programming like this. They'd rather see flashing lights and loud noises.
The true tragedy besides the dumbing down of america is that cartoon planet is off the air. Brak rules!

When did America lose it's ways of good comedy?
More and more shows are becoming like 7th heaven.
And the 'Reality TV' Shows are becoming more and more popular... No offense to those who like them... I'm just saying that sometimes, shows like that, raise the bar for rating standards. That bar, now rose above and beyond the shows that the 'normals' do not understand... Some people didn't understand the humor, therefore didn't like them.
Dilbert, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, went over the heads of the people who might have watched them.
Dilbert - Intellectual Humor Many Times
MST3K - Comedy on a Science Fiction Channel. Might have done better on a comedy channel, and many jokes weren't 'dumbed down' enough.
Space Ghost Coast to Coast - Wasn't on at a satisfactory time, and on a cartoon channel. Of the small kids that watched it, it went over their heads. It was extremely funny for, well, anyone older than the age of 10, but until then, it was just odd...
Whoa... this is my post... ever...

MST3K started out on Comedy Central with Joel and the more annoying voiced for Crow and the robots. Comedy Central either canceled it or sold it to SciFi channel, who added in Mike and Pearl and took some stuff out that was really rather funny.
All through the show's existence, a modest sized following of extremely loyal fans petitioned, threatened, mailed, and re-mailed to keep the show on the air.
It's a sad, but inevitable concequence that the average person is of, well, average intellegence. Above average people are and forever will be, by definition, a minority. That, unfortunatly, leaves us with a minority vote as to what shows stay on the air
If Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy had started life as a television show, it likely would have been canceled

Still Maradon... It's Gone...
It's not the path... It's the end result that depresses me...
Even though one may have more intelligence than another, it doesn't justify what happens to what we love...

Wasn't trying to justify it, just explain it.

Errr, did you know that there was a Hithhhiker's Guide series made by the BBC? From what I remember, it lost its funding, and the story got cut REAL short.
I've seen Beck, Jerry Springer, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Adam West (Well, OK, That's not surprising, what else does he have to do?), Dana Carvey, and a bunch of other people I could hardly believe...
It was a funny show, and the humor is often more adult than other programs on Cartoon Network... It's also pretty clever..
And Zorak's just plain Evil...
