I'd take one. I played the crap of out old DotA. Is this what it looks like: basically the same game in a new engine?

It's exactly the same game. They're going for a 1:1 remake. Not sure if I see the wisdom in that, because I freaking hate the way they handle items in DotA, you shouldn't need a flow-chart to upgrade your character. I'll send you a friend request on steam later today, accept it so I can gift it to you.

The item system was mediocre, but if they fix the need to remap keys to access items quickly in game I'd be satisfied.

My biggest problem with classic DotA was how easily games were ruined by 'leavers'. I'm hoping they have some new rating system that significantly reduces the impact of that.

Thanks so much, Blindy!

I told Zair about DOTA 2, and he seemed interested in trying it out. He also subsequently told me to pronounce Blindy as Bl-I-ndy and not Bl-in-dy. Seems you used to go by Blind Swordsman? Makes a lot more sense now!

Yeah, I had a rogue in everquest that I rp'ed as a blind swordsman. Which probably annoyed the shit out of a lot of people, now that I think about it. That is also why I have a full suite of blind-folded emoticons.
