Seems like it's going to be a major game-changer to me.

All the talent changes (That I've seen so far) FUCKING OWN. I disliked having to copy a spec from other characters, and now I can just pick my own. Same with glyphs, there's no more primaries so no need to always use the same damn ones.

Monks are pretty fun, sort of like a mix between DK's and Rogues. Pandas are pretty 'meh' so far but I guess that's because a lot of their shit (Racial mounts, a 'home city' or even district in the capitols, etc) isn't in yet.

A lot of the new abilities, like Druid Symbiosis, are really going to stir up raids and shit.

I'm in the beta now, anyone else get in? Thoughts?

Been playing for a bit. I played through the Panda starting zone, pretty fun, though I could use some more lore tossed in at the end, I love the Skyfire wreck. The Elemental spirits are simple adorable, they should hopefully become pets.

The panda's model is simply amazing, really expressive, I do hope they don't cancel plans to revamp the older race's models.

I don't think anyone will be upset about the revamped talent and glyph system. it frees up everything to customize your guy to play style.

For warriors...bladestorm in any specs is just funny as all hell. though as it stands prot tanking is a lot more challenging, they may need to tune up the aoe threat gen a bit to make it workable in pugs, but anyone that played bc era shouldn't have a terrible time adapting. For DPS, looks like battle stance is the norm, and stance dancing to zerker stance for AOE for the bonus damage to cleave and Lolstorm. Abilities no longer have stance requirements, which take a bit to get used to having C Smash as Fury.

I love the hunter bugs at the moment, the pets revamp hasn't passed and the scaling on hunter pets have gone with it, Bestial Wrathing My Devailsaur in Stormwind quite the sight. BM hunter get to have pets Cleave, Survival is a bit off with Black arrow being funky ATM. the lose of melee weps isn't so good for leveling ATM, as all the pre MOP range weps have low stats so hopefully blizz does a pass and up the stats on them before release.

Ret palys has alot of love, 5 charges of holy power smoothens out the rotations, and the lose of aura's isn't bad.

Overall the biggest thing going into the new systems is relearning rotations, and that most classes have had everything streamlined, less buttons overall to push, but still doing a lot to keep you engaged.

That is all I have for now.

Specialization: What your class does.
Talents: Flavor abilities for your class.
Glyphs: Quality of life/fun changes.

In vanilla/BC it was about finding the most efficient button and spamming the fuck out of it, with a proc thrown in sometimes. Wrath was a set rotation for X time until cooldown Y was pressed, ad nauseum. Couple more procs were thrown in for cata. Mawp seems content to change it entirely to a resource-based system, as in, doing the most DPS/healing/tanking is about using the right minor cooldowns/resources (Burning embers, shards, holy power, rage, chi, etc) at the right time rather than just spamming the buttons.

I think the bad thing is that Blizzard is treating this as they have every other beta test. I was in the Vanilla, Wrath, Cata and now the mawp beta.. And they're all basically the same. Unfortunately, with a large portion of their userbase wanting to buy D3 anyway and seeing the deal with the annual pass, a lot of people are seeing a side of WoW that they've never seen before. Namely, a beta. They're used to an ability being set in stone and everything polished and nice and neat. Betas fuck up. Betas crash and frustrate you. Betas are for testing, not for showing 2mil+ people all your flaws and foibles before you release. Showing them a flawed product leads to disappointment when they get some OP ability and it's yanked/balance passed/removed/changed for live.

90% likely I won't continue after mawp releases. After LFR and everything, my heart just isn't in it anymore.
