If it wasn't going to be fucktardedly expensive I'd look into getting one... 40 mile one-way commute would be worth it to have day shift people freak out at seeing that thing parked in the garage..

So I guess they're going to follow the pattern of all other EV manufacturers and redesign it at the last second to be egg-shaped, have a cramped interior and anemic acceleration but have lots of cute decal options with a seven foot neon plate on the back proclaiming that it's GREEN or ECO-LECTRIC

It'd be nice if they would figure out superdense capacitors so they could give electric cars a greater range.

Though realistically, we have but to wait about ten more years, and the battery technology will probably catch up. In the mean time, gasoline direct injection engines paired with turbochargers will allow us excellent fuel efficiency to bridge the gap.

I've still got high hopes for electric engines powered by hydrogen fuel cell generators.

Give electric cars another 10 years and they will be quite capable. Battery technology is improving at a very rapid pace, and that's really the thing that's holding them back.

It doesn't really help that the only people buying EV's have terrible taste in cars.

There needs to be some serious bending of the laws of thermodynamics for hydrogen to become a viable source of energy.

Sadly it's a step back, No matter how you slice it you are spending more to produce the gas.

..honestly I would rather see the money for the electric stuff ATM just go to improving cleaning up existing tech and maybe then 86 this ethanol crap and hopefully drop food prices a bit and increase overall fuel economy.
