People are doing weird shit with that thing. It's funny that a recurring theme seems to be abusing one's pet for Pokeyman gains.

My co-worker attachers hers to her cat. I usually just put mine in my sock while at work as I shake my leg quite often while listening to music.

The device is a pokewalker.

The idea is that you load a pokeman onto the walker, and it counts your steps as you walk. As you take steps, you earn bonuses like rare pokemon or items.

A great deal of steps are needed for the nicest prizes (20,000+) but fortunately my hamster does a great deal of running.
