Personal preference says go with RB2, some 80 songs on disc + what DLC is available is the better deal. (redesigned and allegedly sturdier instruments are a boon too. I've still got my old RB1 set, year old and running solid still)

RB2 DLC doesn't have that problem - for example, RB2 offers the complete Moving Pictures album, including "The Camera Eye", which is eleven minutes long.
From a cosmetic standpoint, RB2 looks better, and the characters are far more customizable, with far more clothing options than custom characters in GH:WT.
