Discuss.

I felt like it was a bit of a cop-out and a metaphysical bullshit annoyed me, but it was a decent ending and unexpected. That it all happened 150,000 years in the past and that Earth wasn't really Earth, but they found Earth Earth because God wanted them to.

Lots of unanswered questions that are cockblocked with "because God says so".

Pretty much, yeah.

As a study in good CGI work; it's decent enough.

As a study in good storytelling; it's TERRIBLE.

It stinks of the current series of TV dramas like LOST that can only hook you onto them by not having any kind of real storyline, yet always having the moniker of "things will be revealed next episode!", but they never are. Made for stupid people who wouldn't know good storytelling if it smacked them in the face.

Bring back Babylon 5 for fucks sake.

To be fair, shows like Lost are somewhat a victim of their own popularity. They aren't allowed to end and that means dragging out the plot for forever.

I'm OK with it. It's better than 90% of the crap on TV.

Truth ITT. The only reason I watched it.

Where did well-written shows like B5 and the later seasons of TNG go? Season 1 of Heroes was really good too, pity that it went down the shitter after that and I'm struggling to continue interest in it.

Season 1 was the worst.

"you gonna blow up new york, peter, nothin you can do about it!"
for 23 episodes

then the finale
"ima save you peter and change destiny"

You, sir, have terrible taste.

They could end them if they wanted to. FX tried to buy at least one more season of the Shield but Shawn Ryan, the show's creator, writer, and producer, said he had no stories left to tell and had a good ending ready to go heading into the 7th season and wouldn't make any more episodes.

Not many people in TV and movies have that kind of integrity, though, which is the problem. Sometimes enough is just enough but all they see is the networks wanting to give them more money.

A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent.

I think "There must be some kind of way out of here." made the entire series worth it.

It had a plot.

Seasons 2 and on did not. They were full of "because I said so" plotlines. Which I HATE.

It got a lot easier to watch once I realized that it was a fantasy show about an alternate universe where there is a god that exists and has a hand in worldly events.
