I'm just doing what the hot doctor tells me to do. Are physiotherapists doctors?
No, they're therapists. They're a doctor in the same sense that Dr. Pepper is a doctor. Callalron fucked around with this message on 01-12-2009 at 11:58 PM.
You are paying someone how much to put tape on your leg when you could go buy a knee brace that would work better?

Physiotherapy is generally not covered, at least in Ontario. Our downhill medical system removed it a few years ago.
Delidgamond, however, has specific limited coverage through Purolator, his employer. I imagine he plans to use it to its limit and then stop abruptly.

What did you do? Twist it? Bash it? Does it hurt on flexion or extension? Tender to palpation? Was there any swelling? You are paying someone how much to put tape on your leg when you could go buy a knee brace that would work better?
Twisted my knee resulting in my LCL(ACL? East side of right knee if I was looking straight down) when getting off my truck at work. I can do everything I can usually do at my job but stairs have to be one at a time and my left leg has to lift up, while my right knee has to be perfectly straight on the way down. I also cannot properly so heavy items I need help if I can't push it to the end of my truck.

Inferno-Spirit put down Tada! magazine long enough to type:
We have to wait a year or more for serious life-threatening problems requiring pre-booked surgery. Several months for non-life-threatening problems requiring a specialist, and family doctors and clinics can deal with day to day stuff rather quickly. Emergency room care usually involves about a six hour wait before you even see a doctor unless you are in life-threatening danger.
Well, that's because you don't have rugged individualism. See, in America, our rugged individualism protects millions of people from disease. In fact, rugged individualism protects you from disease so well, that 40 million people don't even bother to obtain health insurance. After all, why waste the money when you have rugged individualism to keep you healthy? And even if your rugged individualism fails and you get sick, you can just declare bankruptcy and not pay for your medical care, anyway, so it's win-win!
