:3 Recommend some good girl games. I have all of my BF's brothers games that he's done with for now.. (grand theft auto 4, NHL 2009 (we bought this one), BioShock, Gears of War and then our system came with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda).

My friend recommended Kitari? I don't know if I got the name right.. It's some game that you roll stuff to make planets or something.

Any other recommendations?

(I'll post my online profile name later when I connect).

Katamari is good, though you might have trouble finding We Katamari. Became a collector's thing.

Viva Pinata is addictive as well.

And there's a plethora of things on XBLA (Xbox live arcade) that you'd like. Forewarning: Demo before you spend points!

My friend is lending me Katamari to try out, and she told me all about the demos to try, so that's fun. :3

Games I like... Hmm... I like RPGs, like Guild Wars and I did play Anarchy Online for a little while. I like fighting games too like Street Fighter, etc. And I am enjoying Kung Fu Panda, which is like going around doing small missions and Kung fuing evil boars. I was told too that the Lego series are fantastic, but i haven't tried mine yet.

When you go to game downloads, you can select arcade games. These are small games you can download to your hard drive to try out. There are a lot of old games there, like streetfighter.

On the same note, you can download demos of normal x-box games too.

It's all under "Game Marketplace" once you connect to X-Box live.

Also, do you have a Netflix account?

Are we supposed to recommend games that are good for girls, or games for good girls?

Humor disclaimer!

Anyhoo... I've gotten quite a few classic games from XBLA - Pac Man, Dig Dug, Joust, Paperboy, etc... those are always good for nostalgia.

I personally believe everyone should own Soulcalibur IV, but that's inspired by my selfish desire to have people to play against.

Dead Rising? Zombie invasion in a shopping mall! Fun for all! Good training for the upcoming zombie apocalypse!

WTF is NetFlix?

Oh, and question! My BF and I both want xBox live accounts. Can you have two accounts under one console and pay one yearly fee or do we have to buy two for both accounts?

WTF is NetFlix?

You're Canadian, so it doesn't apply to you since Netflix doesn't operate in Canada. But it's basically a video rental service where you get your DVDs in the mail, and send them back when you're finished. You can watch streams of some of their movies on an Xbox 360 now, if you have a Gold Live subscription for it in addition to the Netflix sub.

Only one account needs to be Gold, but that account has to be used to play online. You can guest log in to play games that support multiple players on the same console for online play.

You should give Fable II a go. It falls a bit short of what it could be, but I still found it amazing just to explore the world and play around with my doggie. It has a same screen co-op option which feels kind of weird, but is really nice to play if you're with someone that also feels like goofing around the world at the same pace.

Lego Indiana Jones & Batman are really fun co-op, once you get past the idea that you're playing a video game of a toy of a movie.

The live arcade is full of junk, really. Stay away from the "classic arcade" reissues Mightion mentioned -- on the whole they're pretty much shovelware with very little added from the old features. There are very few original games worth getting... Braid is gorgeous, I think you'd like it. Castle Crashers is fun to play with others.

There's a plenty of action/shooter games available, if those are also your cup of tea.

Something I forgot to mention: You can't use a Silver Account as a guest account for some fagalicious reason. The guest account will be displayed as "Gamertag (X)" where X is how many guest accounts are signed in, 1-3.

Bionic Commando Rearmed is a pretty solid buy on the Arcade if you liked the original. It has a lot of improvements, like no more one hit kill. However, it added a lot more enemies to balance that fact.

Okay, so if we both want online profiles we both have to have accounts. but, if we play under one name, we only need one account then, right?

My personal favorites for the 360 are:

Tales of Vesperia - Anime role playing game - I cannot tell you how much I love the Tales franchise. Yes, its got a lot of the cliche that you have to expect to come from anime games, but the story is very involved and the main character is just awesomeness. In this particular installation of the Tales series, they finally do away with the whole 'the main character is a good guy who spares his enemies' crap. I love Yuri's personality. So sarcastic.

Fallout 3 - Roleplaying/action/sandbox game - Not as good as the previous two fallouts, but not too shabby either. Again, like everyone says, its basically Oblivion with guns (and the soulless eyes of their too-lifelike sprites, but that's just my opinion.)

Oblivion - Sandbox game - Dont get it for the forgettable story. Its a great sandbox/time waster. Thats about it.

Assassin's Creed - Role playing game - Okay story. Combat sucks, in my opinion, but its not built for constant combat. The game itself is fluid and very pretty and I have spent hours just running over the rooftops and pissing off guards just to lose them through Altair's superior acrobatic skills. Unfortunately, the game gets repetative after the first couple of missions. Still worth the money though.

Eternal Sonata - Anime role playing game - I LOVE this game. Its got a good story, decent combat, and the artwork is beyond beautiful. Possibly the only game done in cell shaded animation that I actually liked. It can get a bit preachy at times and the history lessons are alternately interesting and annoying, but the bad sides are more forgettable in face of the sheer brilliance that I believe this game possesses.

Fable 2 - Roleplaying/sandbox game - Its enjoyable as a sandbox game and the storyline seems almost an afterthought, to me. But take into account that Fable 1 was much the same way and you wont be surprised. Its fun because you can change the way your character looks, but thats about it for me. Minigames are boring and completing the story doesnt really lend any sense of accomplishment.

Lost Odyssey - Anime roleplaying game - Its kinda like Final Fantasy with a better story. I played the hell out of it when I got it and it is very pretty, the combat is menu based but awesome at the same time, but it still holds the same drawbacks as many of Square-Enix's games: To complete some areas of the game, you must grind to beat some bosses.

Well, thats all I can think of so far. Aside from this: Never, under any circumstances, touch Infinite Undiscovery. In my opinion, at least, that game has terribly conceived mechanics and annoying characters. The story, while a good premise, fails to buoy the rest of the game to any modicum of decency.

"Age by age have men stood up and said to the world, 'From what has come before me, I was forged, but I am new and greater than my forebears.' And so each man walks the world in ruin, abandoned and untried. Less than the whole of his being"

Assassin's Creed - Role playing game

Uh, what?

That's about as much of an RPG as Sly Cooper. Or Mario Brothers. Just replace swords, knives, and blades that slice and dice guards with boots that curb stomp turtles.

The new Prince of Persia is pretty good. Just don't listen to people who bitch about the combat. The PoP series never was about the fighting, it's about the smooth animation and puzzles. Combat's just there so that the puzzle solving doesn't get too boring. It's not as good as Sands of Time, since they trade off a multitude of environments for a free roaming-like world. It's also not linear per se, but you still end up fighting the same bosses no matter which you decide to tackle first, the only difference is in how powered up the bosses will be. Since that's determined by the order you fight them in.

If either of you like first person shooters, Halo 3 is a pretty good coop game. Yes, it suffers all the problems the Halo series is known for, but that's only online. It still has a pretty solid story as far as FPS games go. Even if one of you aren't really good at them, you can respawn in coop for Halo 3, as long as your partner(s) aren't in heavy combat.

On that note, if you don't have a computer that can't handle it, pick up the Orange Box for 360. Three great games in one, though Team Fortress 2 is only enjoyable online, and I'm not sure how the TF2 community is for the 360. Half-Life 2 and Portal are good single player experiences though.

To get the full experience for Halo 3 and Half-Life 2, you'll need to have played the previous games. You really only need to play the first Halo to really understand what's going on though. Halo 2 was pretty worthless to me. They do fill you in a bit though, so you wouldn't totally be lost.

I haven't gotten to play the Lego Indy series yet, but Lego Batman and Lego Star Wars are great.

I'm not a huge fan of co-op though, mostly because I like to stick my nose everywhere and I end up getting dragged along behind Deth like a kite

Eternal Sonata is terrible.

Prince of Persia is...eh. The relationship, which was the best part about Sands of Time, is back and pretty good. The whole Zelda-esque thing is kind of blah; I'm not talking about the celshades, mind you, so much as the whole light/dark world with absolute good and evil, blah blah blah.

Oh, the gameplay's solid, no doubt. Combat is about as challenging as any other game in the series and the acrobatics are fun. Really, it's just plain awesome to watch the Prince climb a tower without stairs by running up walls and shit like that.

But it looks exactly like Wind Waker in terms of environments.

It's not bad. Certainly not quite the same as Prince/Farah, but not quite as bad as Yahtzee makes it out to be. You can choose when to do the dialogue by using the L trigger.

There are upsides and downsides to this. The upside is that you can choose to avoid dialogue, narration, plothooks altogether. The downside is that when you do want to see them doing something, it feels forced and stale.

Star Wars is cool because you get to do all that and use a lightsaber. Batman actually makes you think a little bit, at least as much as any Lego game will make you think.
