Hey Mightion Defensor, I betcha still living in your parent's cellar, downloadin' pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar, and posting 'Me too!' like some brain-dead AOLer; I should do the world a favor and cap you like old yellah:
Yeah, my DK is 60, but I'm not quite sure what the two runes of each color signify... and some of the talents about turning blood runes to Death runes, etc...
The mechanics are pretty simple.
Basically, you have six runes: Each of your base abilities (Frost fever, death strike, blood strike) consume a rune to cast. Some abilities (Such as blood strike, obliterate) take the diseases on the target and do extra damage, or heal you or whatever.
When a rune is released, it gives you runic power which you can use on other abilities (Death coil, mind freeze, etc.) This ALSO puts the rune on cooldown for ten seconds. You can just do two frost fevers, two death strikes and two blood strikes, but you'll be using up your runes that you can use on more powerful things, such as .. uh, whatever the ability is that heals you for whatever diseases are on the target that takes 1 frost and 1 unholy rune to activate.
Death runes can be used as any type of rune and are very handy; Blood has a nice talent that makes aforementioned healing strike return the frost/unholy runes as death runes when they come back up, allowing you to do two heart strikes (Lower in the tree) and still be able to use blood tap (level 62) and vampiric blood (again, lower in the tree) if you're really hard up for healing while solo.
I REALLY enjoy the mechanics of DK's, even if some encounters (Re: Malygos? Christ fuck you arcane sparks) near require one for their death grip ability. Honestly, unlike most classes you can't spam one button "cycle" and win (Like mages/warlocks/hunters et. al). They're very fluid and reactional; The rune system is nicely implemented, although missing/getting parried/dodged/etc. on an attack that used death runes does kind of suck because they come back instantly as whatever rune they were (Blood spec makes your blood strikes come back as death runes, go go more healing).

2 Blood Runes, 2 Frost Runes, 2 Unholy Runes. Each Deathknight ability uses one or more runes to cast it. From Blood Strike at 1 Blood Rune, to Icy Touch at 1 Frost Rune. On Delid's UI it seems to have the cooldown timer build in for when each rune comes back up after use.
Death Runes are Runes that can be used in place of any other color rune.

Having a 60DK means nothing, grats.
Didn't say it did... I was only asking about the mechanics. Heck, only my mage is 80, and my pally is still 70.
I even went and solo'd a few elites for group quests. Fun shit.
tl;dr: DKs are OP
Arrow thingy is QuestHelper with Cartographer. QH+Tomtom works as well.

What's the info panel you've got, Delid? I succumbed to the dark desire to play my warlock again and I have been wholly consumed by addiction to WoW because of the DK starting quests (Tirion Goddamned Fordring, holy shit) and I need better addons.
The DK starting section was awesome. I loved the way the area changed as you progressed through the storyline.

Dunno if you have gotten to it yet, but Area's in Icecrown and Stormpeaks will do the same thing. Storm Peaks IMHO has some of the best danm quests so far...I mean Fighting on the back of a Dragon..WTF couldn't that be one of the Dailies?

The mechanics are there to make aerial combat interesting, but they haven't used them properly.

There's nothing interesting about Blizzard's pathetic attempt at ariel combat. That shit got old with the first DK quest that had you flying. And then Oculus brought it to entirely new levels of faggotry.
I still see people fail so fucking hard at doing Ley-Guardian Eregos. I've solo healed the fucking thing (3 ambers 1 red 1 green) solo DPS'd it (go go two ambers shoving off shock charges too fast and dying miserably) and tanked it while barely taking damage (huzzah for evasive manouvers).
Yet people still complain its "a hard bossfight"

I didn't hate WoW. I just thought it was cartoony. I still think it's cartoony, but that doesn't stop me from having a 72 pally and playing nearly every night
I haven't touched EQ2 since before the latest expansion. Darn Hallows Eve and then I wanted to work on this alt or that one, and then there was Winter Veil, of course.
Consider me a complete convert. I enjoy playing as much a I enjoyed playing EQ when I first started.
And I was more excited for Lich King than Deth was. Although he's gotten into the death knight class more than me. Mine sits gathering dust in favor of my pally. Lyinar Ka`Bael fucked around with this message on 12-31-2008 at 05:44 AM.

That sounds awesome. I can't wait until we get there. I promised Deth that we would only do Northrend stuff together and so we've been progressing slowly.
The dragon in the DK starting area got on my nerves a little bit.
But I love this new siege weaponry. The guns on the ship in the DK starting area was fun. And Deth and I did the tanks in Borean Tundra not too long ago. We had a little mini contest to see who could return them closest to Warsong. He won, by falling inside.
And I even rode around in a tank in Strand of the Ancients (I think that's it). Firing at all the Alliance and seeing all the little numbers float up was most amusing.
