Each version of the game they release will supposedly have 26-30 missions based around one specific race. Going to be a trilogy or something I guess. Seems like a bit of a rip off, but who knows but Blizzard at the moment.
can't wait to see what they do with diablo 3
In other game news, new Prince of Persia is really freakin' pretty and comes out Dec 4.
One of the big gripes that I have with RTS's is that the single player campaign is basically just a tutorial. By the time you've unlocked all the technology and fought maybe one big map, the credits roll.
With three discreet games, there should be enough play time to have a tutorial and a pretty grand story arc where you use all of the tech as well.
I have no problem at all buying three complete games.
Oh god, who am I kidding? I'll buy all three even if they're a hundred dollars a shot.
I wonder how that's going to affect multiplayer though. Will each game only allow you to play its associated faction, or will all 3 be playable in each release?

That's what I was wondering. Will you only be able to play a race in MP if you own that game?
The article made it seem like they're going to be released over the course of months. Does that mean nobody will be able to play any other race until that race's game is released?
I think we now know what the most popular class in this game will be.

Maybe Prince of Persia's appeal lies in a grounding of reality dusted with the fantastic elements of Arabian myth, but FUCK THAT! the kids are into anime these days, so lets jump around on the ceiling dressed like twats!

Where did my pseudo-Arab fantasy go and who replaced it with this deleted footage of Wind Waker?
wah wah cel shading
the game looks incredible
also wind waker was a good game

It looks good, yes.
It just doesn't look like Prince of Persia.

So it'll be just like the last 3 games?
HEY-OOOOHHHH!

a) targeted specifically at little babies
or b) directly based on a comic book
is stupid.
The extent to which a game's graphics do not look cel-shaded is pretty much the primary metric by which the industry has gauged the quality of graphics in a title since the days of the SNES. Maradon! fucked around with this message on 10-11-2008 at 02:29 AM.
These are all anime and really only one of them is patently offensive

I think all but one, maybe a second, pretty much suck ass at being art.
The main reason was I loved the storyline. It had such awesome cut scenes. I can only imagine what this one will be like.
I'm still waiting for Starcraft, The Movie
This should be good.
Sounds fun.
