The definition of "Obscenity" has been utterly arbitrary for far too long, and a wedge for these lawyers in black robes to arbitrate free speech.

They have a very good case on getting the conviction thrown out, since the judge broke all sorts of rules and showed bias.
He will probably get a new trial, and hopefully the prosecution will not want to waste any more money on this.

I mean that's fine and all, but what pisses me off is that they're able to say that it's illegal to video tape yourself peeing into the mouth of a consenting adult in the first place.
Unless I'm missing something, the criminal act was in sending obscene material through the U.S. mail, not in either the filming or the performance itself.

Well, it seems that the jury decided it didn't stand up to the Miller test, and found it to be obscene.
It doesn't seem catastrophic or frightening that a jury would decide that this sorta fringe fetish porn is obscene. You can still shit in your partner's urethra--Griswold v. Connecticut isn't changed. Hell, you can even video tape it if you want, and keep it playing on your TV. The State has a right to decide what sort of proscriptions it can make on obscene materials.

You're forgetting the classic legal definition of obscenity: "I cam't describe it, but I know it when I see it."
