Strange--I've never been served an altbier in a glass like the picture. Now I feel like I'm missing out. 
It could've been a generic dunkel, I suppose, I tend towards altbier or kellerbier if given a choice. Not a big schwarzbier fan, though.
I'll try to remember to look it up when we go back there in a couple of weeks skiing.
