She did real good on Seether's Broken, though.
I have a soft spot for Amy Lee. Alidane fucked around with this message on 07-31-2007 at 10:45 AM.

The song has a completely different feel. If they were trying to imitate the original song, they failed miserably. Particularly in the interlude; one cannot replace scat with scales and expect to get a comparable result. However, if they were just taking the original piece and trying to give it a new feel, then it didn't do too badly in concept, but they shouldn't have used a male lead with a similarly raspy voice to the original vocalist but no lung power to back it up.
As for the singing itself, Amy Lee's voice lends well to most things, but screaming isn't one of them. Someone with less vocal range and more shrieking experience might've fit the slot better. If they wanted to go along with Amy Lee's usual vocal style, they should've ditched the raspy guy and gotten someone with a booming voice.
Basically, they had a male lead who sounded like a weak version of the original vocalist, and paired him with a female lead whose vocal talents don't fit the feel of the original song.

Uh, that's the same vocalist, habeeb. Just a decade further away from when he was (almost) relevant.
