FFS, even I can see it will from the footage, and I've seen the parts of the footage that they're not showing in the video on that news page. The whole fucking screen flashes more rapidly than a rave run by a hyperactive DJ. ITV News even tested it through one of those machines that measures rapid light changes in relation to epilepcy and it failed the test almost all the way through.
It's just a mess of flashing shapes. Oh.. sorry.. I mean it's "modern" and "hip". Whoever made this should be shot out of a cannon at the opening of the games. The blame game has already begun.

I know a lot of programs, games, and so on have epilepsy warnings in the beginning of the broadcast (you know, that evil looking little box that pops up before the movie plays). Perhaps this could have been avoided if the commercial had one.

Now, I'm not epileptic, and I suppose this thing was in Europe, but I have never heard of limitations being set on how a person can create a broadcast piece due to one genetic dysfunction. When a person watches television, arent they assuming responsability of what happens to them during their viewing?I know a lot of programs, games, and so on have epilepsy warnings in the beginning of the broadcast (you know, that evil looking little box that pops up before the movie plays). That is one of the issues. It sounds like the broadcasters didn't check the material beforehand or did and didn't stop to think it might be a problem. Most watching something on the Olympics aren't going to be expecting the possibility of having a seizure while watching.
I think the logo itself looks trashy.

It also looks like shit. Mr. Gainsborough fucked around with this message on 06-07-2007 at 10:16 AM.

Hell, that's tacky for even 20 years ago.
Harsh.

I second this.
Also, I think that the new logo just looks disorganized. There were tons of better ones (my favourites were 1, 6, and 7.)

I love the first one. We should use that one.
The most tragic thing about the current logo is the fact it cost £400,000. What the fuck?

... it cost 400,000 pounds for an unknown amount of people to sit in a room and say 'yeah, let's make it move! And have 80's graphics!'?
Was the money used to buy the acid they took before this meeting?
This is a logo of a japanese studies group or something.

That took a second to sink in.
