It's the one that makes your computer go at a mile a minute and then tells you that you your computer is shutting down in one minute because of some error. It doesn't happen right away but it always happens within about 20 minutes of starting up.

Thats the sasser worm, look for things that look like LSASS.EXE in the system32 folder.

you can also abort that shutdown by opening a run prompt and typing "shutdown /a"

Good luck.

edit: There is always an lsass.exe, its a core windows service, look for clones or similar ones. if its the only one, let us know.

the hell, it won't let me directly link...go to Microsoft's downloads and search for Sasser removal. They have a tool that does Sasser A, Sasser B, Blaster, etc. All the old ones. And you don't need to use that window's authentication crap.
