Quite frankly, I basically want a cheap piece of crap that can connect to the net and has at least decent battery life. Where would I best find such a thing?

Of course, here in Ohio, there's been several news stories about local computer shops selling "new" computers to customers, who find it loaded with porn.

Moral of those stories? If you are going to browse porn at work at a computer store, at least delete the files and the cache afterwards.
