What kind of shoes do you wear? Particularly if any of you work or have ever worked in a restaraunt-type place.
Does anybody have any experiences with Shoes for Crews? (Which is why I asked about restaraunt employees, since they seem to be pretty popular among our crowd.)
I am thinking about buying some but I don't know if I want to fork over the extra cash. Starving college student and all that. Monica fucked around with this message on 01-21-2007 at 12:36 PM.
They're not bad, but I have high arches and actually prefered the cheap shoes I was getting from Payless.
The soles do a good job of being slip-resistant, though. If that's what you're worried about, it might be worth it. I think they also have slip covers that go on the bottoms of your shoes, if you would prefer to do that.
I wear running shoes... Cause I obviously have no dress code at school. I'm lucky I guess...
I got a newer pair recently which are much more comfy(crazy ones with air inserts), however are slippery as all crap. But with my current job spills happen once a week, if that frequently, so it's not a big deal.
But I'm sure my family will reap the benefits when I fall and break my neck at work, heh.
They're comfy until they fall apart.
Not meant for high amounts of walking at all argh.
Now, I work in an office where heels are practically required every day.. :-(

You would think so, ya know!

Especially with Steve-O endorsing them, putting them through such tests as alligator bites!
And I dont pay for em. I get a new pair from supply every 5 to 6 months because I wear them out that fast.

Lucky. The only time my department has ever paid for our boots was when people got doused in JP5.
Read the instruction. Naval commands must supply boots at least once a year, and most do it when they wear out.

...Shoes for Crews? ....
The Marina I work at has a Bar & Grill that uses them, they seem to like them, though the ones I have seen look fugly.
I been going strong for the last few years with Double H boots, but I would think any thing that has a good firm arch and goes 2 inches past your ankles would be good.
