There's been on and off slowness for me all day.

Back in the day we used to say that Drysart and Piper were having sex on the server.

NOW it's more like a rat in Drysart's abandoned house is chewing on the modem line.

Probably MySQL slowly crashing. Drysart's hosting company, if it's worth two shits, most likely detected this failure, logged on to the machine and restarted the SQL daemon manually. Or had their monitoring software do it.

Of course, this is probably an ancient version of MySQL, so someone could have been DOSing it with a known exploit.

The server is slowly dying off. It won't be long before it gasps a last breath and EC is finally down for the count.

oh

well okay then

That's pretty cool of him, and makes sense why the boards were slowing down quite a bit.

Most places give you 1000 GB monthly transfer now. EC probably does 1 GB daily. He's got it to spare, I'm sure.

half gig patch.... SA's user load... I can see that becoming quite a bit more.
