Not really. I took Japanese in High School because I had no interest in Spanish and hate French. I didn't take it specifically to read Manga, watch Anime, or Import games. Considering I never took it far enough to do any of those activities to devise a coherent plotline, or sentences for that matter. Just long enough to put in my state mandated 2 semesters.
