Could anyone tell me the history of this place, or something? It seems like you all know each other pretty well.

We should have a thread like the "New posters poster here" one but for old posters.

We used to be a really big message forum for a webcomic, but then the webcomic was no more. Then we were a sorta big message board without a webcomic, but then our administrator stopped caring about the site. Now we're a fairly small community of people who are all fairly tight-knit whether we want to admit it or not.

lol, internet, etc.

Or become pasty white and invade the shores of New Jersey every summer with your disregard for sanitation and a sort of "I expected more after watching the sopranos" attitude. That is, unless you lived in Upstate NY. You'd probably be alright then.

The short of it is that there is no more diverse and managable group of people than right here. Bouncers rub elbows with Air Force majors, students passionately make love to foreigners, Marxists, Jingoists and swarthy Turks all have good times together.

What a world.

Evercrest used to be an EverQuest webcomic done by Tim Fries.

It stopped updating a few years back, and I think even the archives are gone now.

We're the forum community that was created based around that webcomic, but apparently we all like each other enough so we've all hung around even though the original point of this forum's existence hasn't existed for quite some time.

So pretty much what Suddar said.

Edit: And then there are other times where I am wrong.

It's not really. It's a bunch of people who keep coming here out of habit who like to call each other names and think they're superior to everyone else. In short, we're all elitists.
