Why is Venom Topher Grace? D:
Because he's a great counterpoint to Tobey Maguire.
It's not something people hear about.

That's true. I suppose having the characters be around the same age would be better than having an older, experienced character-actor do it.
Which is probably why all my hopes for Crispin Glover to play the Joker are for naught.

Fazum'Zen Fastfist said this, then charged the door while shouting "CHONGO LONGO!":
Topher Grace is Venom so they can lure comic-illiterate kiddies in with their shitty teenage movie star and make the big bucks once again under the guise of the Ultimate storyline.
Wait what? I'm pretty sure this can't be Ultimate style Venom. I'm pretty sure they'd have to cast someone who's a lot older than Maguire in order to have the Ultimate scenario play out.
Although how cool would it be if Spiderman 4 was the "Hollywood" storyline?

Spiderman 2 was in the hollywood storyline.
2. I didn't like Topher at first, but some of the pics I've seen of him coming out of production have shown me the wonders of just what steroids can do to a desperate actor.

Sakkra had this to say about Jimmy Carter:
I really hope they don't do Venom in the next movie, but rather just set everything up for him to be in the 4th.
From the sounds of things, it's going to be an internal battle with 'Venom', mostly. I'm hoping it stays like that.

1. Ultimate Spidey is younger than 616 Spidey...616 is married and working for Tony Stark and so forth. Ultimate is...not 18 yet, I don't think.2. Examples!?!?
Also steroids don't just randomly make you muss, you actually have to perform the same amount of work out volume you would have before.

ugh did someone spike my drink with some steroids? i feel like i can destroy buildings
Though I would certainly not mind more Spider-Man movies, if they keep the same creative teams working on them.
And hopefully Mary Jane will be dead. I hate Dunst with a firey passion. Though I don't think Bryce Dallas Howard is much of a catch for Gwen Stacy.

It looks like Spider-Man 3 is set to wrap up things.
I can't see the series being killed at this point, even if Raimi leaves the project. Its a huge money maker, and while everyone loves Raimi its not like Marvel has much of a problem letting directors be changed and killing off good comic book movie series.

Ja'Deth Issar Ka'bael.
3 is the last Spidey movie Raimi is contracted to do. He hasn't really said he's sick of doing them, but at the same time no one has said "ohgodyes he has to stay" either.
There's no contest. I know which one I'd vote for, but knowing my luck Sam will be doing Spiderman 5 and 6 before a "new" Evil Dead.

I heard that he won't be reprising the role of Ash, but will rather make a guest appearance, but who knows?
In the mean time, we'll have My Name is Bruce.

Having seen him play an old Elvis I don't think he'll ever have a problem with being too old for the chainsaw.
