So once again Kerrigan the duck had chosen our bush to spawn her zerglings in. 13 eggs were lain, 9 babies emerged. 4 missing though, what had happened? Two were stillborne, one egg was left in the next, perfectly centered and rather brownish, embryo had died at some point and the egg had begun to rot and under the nest a 2nd, fully flattened egg was discovered, which accounts for the missing zerglings Poor little guys
All together now, "Awwwww...". The one in the back, both here and everywhere, was adorable beyond words. It was constantly falling behind and having to dash ahead to catch up before falling behind again. At one point it got stuck on a bunch of dandelions. Was so damn cute, just wanted to pick it up and carry it along with the rest, hehe.
That is me in the back in the blue and next to me is our neighbor Alan who helped us herd her the first time to water and was around yet again for round 2.
Now let me tell you, herding a duck and her spawn is a LOT easier the 2nd time. Had it done in like one sixth the time it took before. Where before she was scared of everything and we had to chase her all over, this time she literally just walked between us as we escorted her. The brooms were just to block off any bushes she might go under, as we learned the first time it is a PAIN to get her back out from under a bush.
For the last half of the trip through the field Kerrigan was literally 3 feet from me, walking just a little ahead, could see the pink of her tongue every time she quacked. I could have squatted down and been able to pet her, was actually really neat. Seems she is getting used to this, hehe. We just walked with her all the way to the fence where I held up the same spot as before, giving her a gap to duck under (The babies just walked right through the links and then stood there peeping at her like "Come on Mom, it's easy!")
Things went a lot better this time, where before they all tumbled and slid to the bottom, this time they actually walked down the slope all the way.
And to water they made it, once again! Someone's base is going to get zergling rushed sooo bad <_<
And off they went, off to freedom and victory!
After the last time I actually found out where that actually GOES. Turns out the rain water runoff just ends a ways down, just past a major road, into a large, simple creek. No water treatment plants or anything haha.
Last time couldn't have been all that bad if she came back I figure, heh.
We've had a duck by our union for a while now and she's had a brood as well. Really cute

You have one too?
Actually there are several broods wandering around our campus because De Montfort is right on a river and I believe they are plotting to take over the old union building. At least i'd like to think they are.
