I goes with my NE Hunter to the Barrens.. am level 12, and I wanted a Raptor for a pet. I run all the way there, get hassled a bunch, get killed a bunch. But I get my pet, and I go back to Auberdine.. and then the game freezes.

I log back in, and have no pet. I cant call it, it aint dead.. its not there.

wtf

Get to 20 or so. There's raptors in the Wetlands.

OR, I could just go back to Barrens and get another Sunscale.

Was wondering if anybody else had something like it happen.

Getting to 20 from 12 will take you a few hours at most.

OR.. just getting another sunscale took me 30 minutes.

Besides, this is a WSG alt.. getting to 20 would kill that.

After Dark Iron, I don't think I could stand to play on a PvP server again. D:

Nathrezim has been pretty awesome thus far.

Story time?

Dark Iron was the big webcomic server, remember?

The PVP/PA rivalry was pretty brutal.

I meant in regards to the pvp itself, has to be a reason he wouldn't go back to a pvp server after playing on DI

I enjoy PVP any time I like on my carebear server, and I'm very much looking foreward to enjoying the open PVP outlands!

But I guess not being ganked sixty times while trying to complete a menial task somewhere around an alliance town makes my experience "less genuine" haha.

After all, fights that aren't a challenge to either party are FUN!

Not really any specific story. Just the server in general. The way it was from my trek from level 1 to 59, I pretty much got ganked whereever I went. Horde managed to blow past Alliance level wise, and as people got up into the 51 to 60 range, it was huntin' time on the people who weren't quite 60 yet.

Even worse as a rogue, because if you don't land the first hit, you're dead, even against people a bit lower level than you. In general, I just got tired of World PvP, which was just a gankfest, and I didn't have a way to get away from it.

Though, I will say that the pvp that happened on the server was possibly the most balanced I've ever seen in WoW. Plenty of both incredibly good players on both sides, and complete idiots. The fact that people were being loyal to a webcomic instead of a specific faction really balanced things out.

So it kinda goes both ways (hahaha). I don't want to go back to another PvP server because World PvP gets tiresome after a while (though it SHOULD be the reason to play on a PvP server), but also the fact that I don't see another PvP server getting to the level of awesomeness that Dark Iron had, both balance-wise, and difficulty-wise.

I play Alliance on Nathrezim. There's very little gankage, and I play around in Contested areas a lot. Most high level Horde I've seen have completely ignored me. It's actually the even levels I have to watch out for most of the time.

As a complete nub to WoW I started on a PvP server. The element that I could be ganked at any one moment does kinda make the game more fun (even though getting ganked isnt cool). Usually an ally would gank me and jsut go on with their business, very rarely would I be corpse camped.

The only thing that pisses me off a bit about world PvP is trying to get into Blackrock Mountain for UBRS or wahtever (MC and BWL arent so bad because usually the whole raid just charges in at once). The main ally guild on my server absolutely loves to camp there at what seems all hours of the day. I dont know how many open tickets I've sent to GMs ranting about preists mind controlling me into the lava and me not being able to rez at all since I guess my corpse isnt considered mine anymore, so Im forced to relog everytime.

I dont think I could ever play a PvE server and really enjoy it.
