I'm going to beat it on normal. No reason for me to challenge myself when I'm playing it for story the first time around. I have 2 days off of work so I'm probably going to do it in one sitting.

I've already done the first 11 hours of the game, so it shouldn't be hard at all for me to breeze past that.

I'm sticking to Proud Mode because I want to be challenged by the game, and the Expert Mode of KH1 sucked.

Anyway, I'm not expecting this game to be very hard. (I'll probably play it on Proud Mode too.) Since they've removed almost all of the platforming elements that KH1 had, and there won't be extra battles in the US version, I am sadf.

Though if the combat does rock socks like everyone says it does, I'm sure I won't mind.

I am also really looking forward to the new Gummi ship stuffs.

I didn't mess with actually building a gummi ship at all, but the way it flies and how you pilot it is much more interesting than the linear paths from KH1.

The battles are a lot more intense than the first one and bosses make the game completely spoogeworthy.

I'm looking forward to knowing where the fuck dodge roll is in the abilities menu because I couldn't find the damned thing. I hope you still get it early on.

But yeah, like I said. I'm not doing proud mode first because I want to focus totally on the story and collecting everything the first run. I don't need to challenge myself to get joy out of a game I love. Never have. I like steamrolling through shit.

Well, I know there's added actions you can perform to get yourself into combat like an upward swing command, but the moonlanguage is far too strong for me to figure out what each ability does. There's so much stuff that's undetectable like adding to luck that I didn't want to take the time to figure everything out. And I really don't want to look up an FAQ because I want the entire story to be a surprise.

I haven't looked up anything on this game aside from screenshots and it's going to be beautiful having everything be a shock to me as it happens. (Aside from some certain character encounters that I've already seen through my time playing.

Apparently the new dodge thingy isn't as good as dodge roll, but I think you start with it or something.

But who gives a shit about that? Improved summons + drives = win.

It went a lot faster my second time around. First game I spent 50 hours getting everything, but I think I might've left the game on a couple times. 16 hours on my most recent run-through getting near everything. Only leveled to 65ish though, so that might account for something.

John Di Maggio (this one is WTFY? material...) also did the voice of Hak Foo in Jackie Chan Adventures, the Scotsman in Samurai Jack, and Wakka in FFX.

I'd say they'll probably do a damn good job.

Gamestop does this crazy thing now where if a game is massively popular, they'll ship it a day early, so the game arrives at the stores on it's ship/release date, instead of the day after. Why? Gets the game out before places like Wal-mart/Best Buy/other stores put it on the shelves. Makes them more money.

This also happened with Oblivion.

I think most places would get the shipment in prior to the release dates, but then you have a problem with unscrupulous employees snagging copies early or shelving the product early.
