Anyone else see it? Opinions?

Didn't the author of the comics ask to be removed from any of the credits due to disagreements with how it was adapted?
"Alan Moore, the author of the much admired graphic novel V for Vendetta, disassociated himself from this production and had his name removed from the credits."
Guess so.. But I still enjoyed it immensely.

Fazum'Zen Fastfist had this to say about Captain Planet:
How do you have an excellent casting for V? Ha ha! Isn't Hugo Weaving shorter than 6 feet? Anyway, did you read the comic, Yuri?
A) Hugo Weaving was most likely not the body used in the movie, just his voice.
B) Yes I have.

Actually.. he WAS the body. It was torturous on him, and the mask made him sweat gallons through his face.

A sleep deprived Leopold stammered:
Nah, Alan Moore has a standing "leave me the hell out of it" arrangement. He gave Hollywood a shot with the adaptations of From Hell and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Oh my god. I think having those two movies associated with you is grounds for suicide

Actually, a good portion of the movie, according to Wizard Magazine, was the original actor who was going to play V. They dubbed Weaving's voice in later on when that actor pulled out.

Damn right. She kicked Argentina's ass, she don't take no shit from anyone. If she'd gone the diplomatic road the Falklands would still be in enemy hands.
I thought it was amusing when she doomed the new British Airways tail design at its public opening by frowning and putting a tissue over it to cover it up. A few months later they went back to the old design. No one messes with Maggie.

I'm with you. If you haven't, you should read her book Statesmanship. It's a truly interesting perspective on international relations.
Interestingly, she says Britain should give the EU the finger and join NAFTA instead.

I was going by Hugo's Interview in the Atlanta paper.
Struck me as weird. It's just a mask the guy wears over his face, but there's the Hollywood magic heh

Leopold painfully thought these words up:
His hold on the rights to some of his works is tenuous, if memory serves.
He wrote a ton of stuff for dc back in the eighties, and then had nothing but bad things to say about them, im guessing it was cause back then the big two pretty much owned all rites to everything they published or somethign like that.
His own imprint (abc) was on wildstorm and then they got bought out by DC, theri was an article in wizard ages ago about how he swore he would never ascoiate with DC again, and he was saying that even though technically he is now getting published by DC he still maintains all his rites and contract from the wildstorm dealie, or somethign like that

I couldn't help but to think of that during the scene. Scary.
