Correct. Maelstrom is an orb effect. Cleave, Bash, and Thorns are not.

I only mentioned such, because the Tidehunter in the game where nem and Xider fought had two maelstroms (that he made, he didn't just scavenge from leavers or something). Even one Maelstrom is a bit weird for Tidehunter, but I guess that's why he lost.
