It was the only way to be sure.

I got my tax returns back today. $1,500 bucks. I actually did something financially responsible with it for once. I owed 1,700 on my big credit card from various moving expences, christmas, and getting a new clutch on my car.

Now I'm debt free. You have no idea how good that feels.

Living debt-free is unamerican. Think of those poor credit card company employees. Their children will starve because of people like you.
I don't know how to be sexy. If I catch a girl looking at me and our eyes lock, I panic and open mine wider. Then I lick my lips and rub my genitals. And mouth the words "You're dead."

Yeah, me too. But it's all stuff that my dad owes me for. I paid that bitch off 3 months ago. Just waiting for him to slowly reimburse me.

Actually, paying off debt frees up the credit card company's finances so someone else can go into debt, perhaps quite legitimately, say for entrepreneurship or an expensive medical procedure. It's all abstracted quite a bit, but paying off your debt isn't going to hurt any debtor. Not by a long shot.

Aside from my student loan debt, I'm in the clear. And student loan payments are deducted from my account automatically (at a .25% reduced interest rate!), so it's not like I ever miss the money. Aside from that, I don't even have a revolving charge account, so I can't go into debt.

Been debt free for some time now and savings for my new vehicle. I've been delaying purchasing a new car because it is soooo nice not to have those damn payments.
