Just post any and all suggestions you can think of, I'm not going to be too picky about price, after all I'll decide all that when I look.
A friend of mine had one at a lan party, they're huge. Heavy though.

I currently use a piece of shit Rosewill case with a power supply that cost 3x more than it but I'm looking at buying the one in the near future. I can't say from personal experience, but from what I understand this case is pretty awesome. This is from the same source I get a lot of my hardware opinions from (SomethingAwful and its members), and of course the NewEgg reviews are pretty nice.

Kegwen.
I would personally suggest the Antec P180
And mostly because I recently built a new computer with one and was very pleased with it.

I use it. Very nice case. The case is heavy, it was a bit annoying to work in, and it is a bit expensive for not including a PSU. Other than that, there's no real issues with the case. Good airflow, very good sound supression, and the heavy case will protect your parts. If you can afford it I'd definitely recommend it.

edit: wups. this is for the 150. wrong link!
It does have a PSU though. A pretty nice one at that. 430w, likely True Power 2.0. I bought that PSU myself about 2 weeks ago. About $60 of the case right there.
Edit: label on the PSU looks different, but still Antec so a decent PSU. Alaan fucked around with this message on 01-28-2006 at 12:29 PM.

..Hell, I'm tempted to do it myself, once I get my desk settled and solid. That thing would be way too damn heavy to move around without emptying out.
It's not something people hear about.

But stone silent.
Edit: I wonder if antifreeze is conductive? The really bright green of it would be awesome. It might also disolve your circuit boards though! Alaan fucked around with this message on 01-29-2006 at 02:25 AM.

You realize that SA isn't exactly the braintrust of the Internet, right? It's not like it's hard to recommend Antec cases.

No, but it's certainly got a larger share of technologically-minded users than this community.
After all, what he asked for were suggestions, which would be better served by SA's larger userbase.

Yeah, if large user base == quality, then Intels Integrated video chip would be the best video card you could ever ask for.
Who knew?

You do know that is a really stupid comparison, right?
quote:My mom's PC had that problem a while back. Her computer desk had an enclosed space specifically for a tower, but the ventilation was terrible. So we cut a hole in the back, installed a 60mm case fan in the hole, and ran power extensions to it from inside the PC.
See, your Ryuujin means your hair. So technically it's true.
I'm bothered by my Pentium 4 system reaching temps of around 54 degrees Celsius. I know part of the problem is the small space that I have the case in, but there's no real chance of that changing anytime soon since the rest of my desk has my monitor, printer/scanner and CDs all organized on it. My case has blowhole fans on it, but for the tight space that it's in, it's just not worth having them. SO! I need suggestions for a new case, one that preferably has a nice "wind tunnel" when the fans are installed.Just post any and all suggestions you can think of, I'm not going to be too picky about price, after all I'll decide all that when I look.

You missed my point, but that's cool too.

I am a big fan of Lian-Li cases and have been using them for years. You get what you pay for, and Aluminum is much better than Steel if you are intending to reduce heat.

It doesn't really do a lot to reduce the CPU temp, but on the other hand it does help to reduce overall ambient temperature. Not by a lot, but every little counts.
I use Lian-Li too though I'll probably change to Antec with my new build rebuild in 2007/2008 because aluminium sheeting isn't a very good noise insulator.

Nifty as it is, the thought of dealing with all that oil once it goes bad is not something to look forward to.

Im thinking that upgrading components would also be a problem. Overall, wouldnt really be worth it just from some extra power.

Nor am I thinking it is a new idea, If I remember right, the Cray super computers they used to design the shuttle were cooled by a bath of liquid CFC's. Been a while since I have seen the one in that museum near langley.
