I've tried exiting everything before playing EQ2 and after playing EQ2, and it still uses about the same amount of processor power.
If no one else has this problem, can anyone tell me why it might be doing this?
Or, more specifically, can you look and see what executable is eating up your resources?

No, it isn't.
The thing that is using most of the resources appears to be the System Idle Process...

I use the normal nVidia drivers (I have an nVidia GeForce 6600 GT)
