Im having a small problem with windows right now. For some reason whenever it tries to finish setup on XP it boots into safe mode, and then restarts cause it says it cant finish setup under safemode. I have tried just about everything I can think of. I even wanted to quit and tried to boot off of the hard drive with XP already installed and working and it boots to safemode to try and finish the setup. Does anyone know how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Consult your manual, you need to locate the CMOS jumpers.

Try turning boot sector virus protection off in the BIOS menu?

It detects a Windows XP installation as a virus and can throw a fit.

It would if you actually did check the manual. We can't tell you where the CMOS jumpers are on your motherboard.

I meant that clearing the CMOS didn't help at all, I did consult my manual and did as it said, didn't fix the problem.

Sounds like your motherboard is fucked.

I can get my other hard drive to boot correctly if I unhook everything from the HDD I tried to install windows on. But when I put it back in, the computer will keep booting to safe mode, no matter which Hard drive I boot from, and attempt to finish installation. If I could get it to even quit trying to install I would be happy.
