I would really apreciate it. I still havn't been able to fix my computer and my problems are still

- When I go to certain sites, like Neopets, or like to a image hosting site, it closes my internet window.
-When I try to go to the WoW home page, I automaticly get sent to the low bandwidth site and won't let me ont the regular one.
-And it will freeze sometimes during games, that have alot of movement. If anyone knows what is causing this.

I would really appricate it, i'm near the end of my rope with this computer.

Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

  • Refrain from going to those certain sites.
  • Learn to enjoy the low bandwidth site, or don't bother.
  • Play less resource-intensive games, or perhaps go outside.

    All solved!

I know this may be to much to ask, btu please no bullshit, I'm am really not in the mood for it. I want to try to save reformating as a last resort, since I already have a bit of stuff saved onto the computer already. Thankl you though Mort.

I'd just say adaware/spybot or whatever, at least the internet stuff seems like spyware.

Also, on tuesdays, WoW automatically goes to the lowbw site for maintenance ;p

For the third problem, I dunno.

Grammar is your enemy! - While being able to understand someone's sentences might seem like a good idea for a proper essay, complaining on a forum scarcely leaves time for such trivialities. Write fast! You're angry, grrr! Make that show, and forget about things like capital letters, punctuation, and verbs.

For the world of warcraft site, its not just on tuesday that it happens, it's everyday, and i ran adaware, but still no difference.

Well, first i want to thank you for your suggestions. second, i figured out the first half of the problem. When I got the computer from the guy at work who built it, he put on a pop up blocker. I got an ideal and disabled it, and sure enough, i can not go to the sites I couldn't before. I hoped that the popup blocker may be interfereing with the games, but it doesn't seem to change, the new Fable: lost chapters freezes a few minutes in to the game, and WoW does the same, though not as quickly or as often as Fable.

If you have screensaver and/or powersave, turn them off. Also, turn off any automatic software updates that don't run on a schedule, because these often run when your system goes idle, and may not recognize that the games are running (Adobe Acrobat's autoupdate was crashing my PC). Presumably you've already tried changing your video drivers (sometimes the latest version is not the best). Check the network card drivers too; if your coworker put the wrong network card drivers on the system, it could easily cause problems with online games, which would use network resources not typically needed for web browsing.
