Went 4-1 in the first 5 rounds, getting me in the final 4 for the tourney (out of 13).
My brother (Sabratiz) and I played the first game and I won, thanks to a card he traded me earlier in the day.
The next game I had was against the guy who gave me my one loss on the day (it was a close game that time, his Warlord could take 5 wounds and I did 4 to it). I managed to get a near-perfect first hand and went on from there to win the whole tournament.
So, how else have the other CCGers been doing lately? Anyone picked up Warlord since the last time I posted about it? I'll post the deck I used later.
I picked up Hecatomb though. It's retty fucking bad ass. I haven't seen any place that has warlord in my area though.
Plant Zombies! PLANT ZOMBIES!
My first tourny is on Tuesday and I'm running a fairly good "deck" that I've playtested against my friends.
code:
V Mr, Terrific - 80
V Hourman - 100
V Hawkgirl - 51
V Stargirl - 63
Bystander McTaggert - 5
=300
My first tourny and I'm hoping for a decent run!

OtakuPenguin had this to say about Knight Rider:
Well, I don't play any CCGs, but I just recently got into HeroClix, and I got into it big.
I wish we had the attention span to keep playing. I spent so much money on Hero Clix. The only ones that are still strong amongst the Waiszlings are YOTC and Vise, I believe. =/
Great thing about Clix though, is that even though I don't play that often, it's not as much of a waste as a CCG because the figurines are cool for display purposes if I ever find the extra space to put my couple hundred figures up.
Until then, I'm avoiding tournaments and perfecting decks under the new banned list with my friends.

I'm waiting for October 1st so that the new Yu-Gi-Oh! banned list goes live and that fucking Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning is finally gone. America's metagame seriously needs a defib, stat!Until then, I'm avoiding tournaments and perfecting decks under the new banned list with my friends.
You play Yu-Gi-Oh!. It has an exclimation point in its name. Shoot yourself now and save yourself some dignity.

Or you could simply take your prejudices elsewhere. I play games that are fun. Get over it. Densetsu fucked around with this message on 09-07-2005 at 10:51 PM.

You can't even spell exclamation point. Now who's missing his dignity?
CCGs really dont hold my attention however.

Vinven D`Slyfox had this to say about Knight Rider:
I got beat by a 10 yr old at a Yu-Gi-Oh tourny. of the cards my arse :/
I've been beaten by 8-year-olds whose parents or older siblings build them decks and teach them how to play it. It happens. But I've gotten much better in both my deckbuilding and playing skills since then.
Unfortunately, until the new Forbidden List is set, I'm outclassed by several rare and expensive cards that I don't have, nor do I have the money to spend on them. But I've been extensively playtesting a deck under the new Forbidden List and so far I have a win record against my friends (who usually beat the shit out of me at the game on a regular basis) that I am quite proud of. When we both exhaust our hands and it comes down to topdecking, I usually come out the winner. of the cards, indeed.
