I worry about when that day will come a lot. I've had to put down pets before, and I know it never gets any easier. 
And his little buddy next door, a West Highland Terrier just died, and he was younger than my dog. ;_________;
I'm sooooo sorry for having to put down your dog, but it's for the best if she was suffering... I hate losing pets. I ball for days when one of my rodents dies.
Every time I go over to my mom's house, I head into the backyard half-expecting him to be there so I can throw the ball for him.
