A new Glen Cook novel!
It's called The Tyranny of the Night and begins a series called The Instrumentalities of the Night.
Judging strictly by its cover, it should be a great book!

Cook's also written some other fantasy; a few stand alone books, and the Detective Garrett series (a private investigator in a somewhat more typical fantasy setting) which I'm working through now.
Generally they're a little lighter than the Black Company. "Old Tin Sorrows" was an very depressing exception, though.
Edit: And Tonk is a card game played by the characters in the Black Company books. The Waiszlings found rules online and tried it once.. it's fairly fun. MorbId fucked around with this message on 07-01-2005 at 01:36 AM.

It is pretty good. FInished it up earlier this week. Manages to tie up most of the books plot points but still set up for the next book at the end. And my sig is from there.
Edit: And we need more voting options.
Edit 2: All you god damn heathens need to read Black Company And Tonk is like rummy. Alaan fucked around with this message on 07-01-2005 at 01:49 AM.
