I have a Radeon 9800 Pro, and I have had no problems with it, and all my drivers worked fine.

This morning I get pop-ups about outdates drivers, so I say, oh okay. I download the new 5.6 catalyst driver, and then my computer just goes fucking nuts. It won't reboot, its randomly shutting down. So I reboot into safe mod, uninstall every ATI Program I had (ATI Software said to do this) and then re-downloaded 5.6

So I install it, then its going all idiotic again where I can't get running in normal mode.

Anyone else had a problem? Help!

This is why you don't listen to Steam's retarded warnings.

Remove the drivers again and install the Omega Drivers. Reinstall Windows if necessary. Steam will still bitch at you about outdated drivers, but it doesn't mean anything

Ah, I only assumed it was because they recently started doing that. Oops.

I noticed, I ignore it alot.

I tried your idea, I uninstalled all my ATI junk like told, installed device manager of Radeon 9800 Pro, then Omega, but it didn't work. It ran for a few minutes then it froze up and I couldn't get back to desktop after reboot D:

You can click continue, it doesn't mean anything important.

You get that with nVidia beta drivers as well. Ignore it and install anyway. You can always nuke it if it doesn't work right.

Give it a try at least, it's better than what you're getting right now.

I tried, I installed, said to reboot.

I get the Windows XP load up screen, then I click my name to login, and then screen goes black and reboots.

Have you been uninstalling your drivers or just installing over them?

Edit: "Uninstall" means using a driver cleaning program to get rid of everything.

Yep, I uninstalled every ATI program. Any driver, so it was wiped. And still when I reinstalled, it fucked up at restarts.
