I have been helping some friends keep and maintain a phpBB board, they would like to move to phpNuke. Now I have set up a fresh install of phpNuke before this is not a problem, the question is how would I go about transferring just the user data from phBB 2.0.13 to phpNuke 7.8?

They just want it so members do not have to re-register.

*edit* I R gud speller.

This is next to impossible, without some major database work. Nuke seriously alters how phpbb looks at users/threads/posts.

You will be spending at least a week doing so.

Ok thanks for the info I'll tell them they will have to bite the bullet if they want to use it.

It **MIGHT** be possible to preserve the User data (login/password) but everything else would be a lost cause without MAJOR intervention, and even then probably not worth it.

As it is you're probably looking at a hand import of the user info if you were to try...

There's no easy way to do it. I doubt the data would have to be completely moved by hand, but you would probably have to write your own migration script by hand. Probably not a good idea unless you've got lots of experience doing that sort of thing.
