Is it worth getting? I kinda got away from MMORPGs after EQ2 and WoW, where I didnt feel like paying 15 bucks to play and I had more to do with my time.

However, I hear you dont have a monthly fee and so on. My roommate got the game (and is hooking up cable inmy apartment today, so I'll be having free internet courtesy of my roommate.)

Is it worth the $50? Enjoyable? Good content?

From what I've played it's fun. Think of it this way, if you get sick of it quickly you won't have the monthly fee.

It's not an MMOG.

Think of it more like Diablo 2, except online-only and with a level cap of 20.

It's very fun, but it's not a MMOG in the traditional 'Virtual World'-sense, it's more of a singleplayer RPG with multiplayer functions.
Life... is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates. You're stuck with this undefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while, there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits, filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is a... is an empty box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.

Client's free to download, and there are always accounts around up for grabs.

For example; Mine is available to whoever wants it. Only logged in once!

A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, you go left.

It's not something people hear about.

Received the game as a birthday present.

So far, I've found it very pretty, but somehow quite boring.

The Diablo analogies above are probably the best example of what the game is like, with all action in the game taking place in instanced copies of the world, where you can have others with you, if you choose, or you can choose to solo.

I like it, but I haven't played it much for a while. Everyone that REALLY plays it says that you have to get deep into the game before it becomes awesome.

I suspect this is just a lame attempt to explain away the scores of people who played the game and didn't like it.

Person: "Didn't guildwars kinda suck?"

Fanboi: "Uh, no!!!"

Person: "Then why did so many people buy it and hate it?"

Fanboi: "They just didn't get INTO THE GAME enough! You have to be REALLY HARDCORE INTO THE GAME and then magically it's MEGA FUN!"

If D2 is the best way to describe it, this is a good game. The rest of you are just noobs.

You only get to capture elite skills later in the game, which is probably why a lot of people say that. And the 64 player PvP is available later too.

Also, smiting monks freaking kick ass in pvp.
Enemy health takes a rollercoaster dive.

That's what happened to me with WoW. And EQ2. And WR.

I add nothing to this thread. Sorry.

Is there a place that has skill trainer locations listed? I feel like I'm missing something because I've only found two trainers for each of my classes so far.

So wait, all I'd need is to download the game and find someone who already has an account registered who's bored of it?

Seems peculiar. However, I've been wanting to have a quick go so if anyone is bored with it, my PM box is always open.

So, there are PVP imbas? I'll wait till the PVP is more balanced.
