No not that, but I got my computer built. I know it's not much of an accomplishment, but I'm proud and happy because it didn't want to work.

The computer parts were a Christmas gift, all was working smoothly until I tried to build it. I got everything assembled, but it didn't turn on. For some odd reason I thought it was the motherboard, which was still under warrenty, so I got a replacement. It still didn't work right, so I gave up. A few months later I was bored and started trying to make it work again, I figured that if I opened up and played with the power supply a bit I could make it work, for some reason I was right. I turn it on, everything is a-ok, but the video card was fux0red, I cried. Me, being the lucky bastard that I am, live next to Best Buy and a replacement card was easy to get. I was happy, everything worked...for two hours. The hard drive it seems hated it's life and committed suicide without telling me. With a $5.50/hr job, getting a repalcement hard drive took awhile, but I did it...WOOHOO.

Now that I'm all over my euphoria I'd like to announce my entrance into Guild Wars. Byrnie the Red 6 Necromancer/Warrior.

There are a lot of things to try if it won't turn on before you go and replace the mobo. First to come to mind are jumpers and front panel on/off button connectors. Then check the power supply, and swap it out if you can. Then, if its the HD, you should at least make it to the BIOS and be able to establish that its not the mobo at fault.

It wasn't the motherboard at all. I think I replaced it because I didn't know what the hell I was doing and it had the shortest time before it's warrenty ran out. As for the hard drive it doesn't seem to get recognized, I've tried it on mulitple computers.
